Update: June 12, 2008
There was a slight change of plans. In the whole excitement of getting TAN up, we forgot that WordPress has a multi-user software as well. This opens up a new can of worms because while it is harder to configure (it took a few tries as a matter of fact, and it was in a test folder), it makes things a little easier. Some plugins work with MU as well, so once we figure out what those are, we're well on our way.
Also, there has been a slight change in the Beta Release Date. Due to short staffing (read: Nat Marie's the only one on staff so far), and due to her laptop's AC adapter going kaput for a few days, just when she was doing stuff with the site, there was a bit of setback. Summer 2008 seems a bit feasable, seeing as it's not quite summer yet, and summer doesn't end until September. We're hoping that it will be done way before September, so that we can launch the real site by September. Here's to hoping!

This really should have been done a few weeks back, but...oops. Anyway, the template for the layout has been picked out. It is pretty simple. The platform we will be using is WordPress. Why WordPress? You wouldn't believe how versatile WordPress can be with a few plugins. Without giving too much away, we have a few things that can be used for the media aspect of the site. In other words: video.
Not only that, we got up a message board that is integrated with the front end, so members don't have to rejoin the board and vice versa. We can tell that the forum is going to be a lot harder to customize, but nothing too crazy. Besides, it's not on top of the "to do list". It's just a small part of what TAN is all about! Let's get most of the front knocked off, then worry about it later.
There will be a time where community meetings would be held. This would most likely be held when we get the beta site up. But staff members (moderators for the board, moderators for the front end so that pornos don't show up on it) are being accepted. Email your inquiries to nmlombardi@theantihero.net.
